ISABELLA MARY SIMPSON BILLING

Weight 7lb 7oz

Length 52cm

Isabella arrived yesterday (Monday 7/6/10) on her due date at 1.15pm. We are both doing very well and dad is recovering after the discovery of having another daughter that will also have him wrapped around her little finger!!! Big brother Tom and big sister Biddy are beside themselves over having the new arrival finally here!!!

Ok, some of you wanted to see what I looked like at this late stage in the game.....so here you go!

This is me at 37 weeks and 2 days

This is me yesterday at 39 weeks and 4 days. In my togs to take kids to their swimming lessons. I think I may have been standing a bit skew-wiff in this pic, because in reality, there is not much difference in my size.

Still here.........

4 days and counting..............

Am having weekly doctors visits and I am told that really, I could go any time now. I also haven't put on any measurements in the past 3 weeks, so dr is suggesting that the baby doesn't need to be staying put in order to grow.....it will be better out than in (I agree!).

I had cleared my calendar for the last 2 weeks of this pregnancy in order to take things easy, but I have wound up doing nothing but clearing up, cleaning up, washing all manner of things, running errands, fixing things up, sorting rooms out....I feel like I have never been busier. Thank god for mums. Mine has been here most days to help out and even if that just means keeping the 2 kids out of my hair while I sort through boxes of crap, it is a HUGE help.

The electrical issue we had (from last post) turned out to be much simpler than anticipated. Rather than a problem with the wiring, it was a dodgy switch in the fuse box. So all the sparky needed to do was change that one switch. Brilliant.

I had some pregnancy photos take a couple of weeks ago and they turned out beautifully. Almost makes me want to get pregnant again just to have good photos! Almost....... LOL. We also recently had family photos taken as part of Biddy's baby club photo thingy... and with the exception of a couple that needed photoshopping (!) they weren't too bad either. Now we go through the decisions about which ones to enlarge!

Anyhow, I'm signing off for tonight. I have been on the computer for a bit today and despite the chair being usually comfy, I am now unable to feel my bum, the kids are at the point of killing each other and if I don't go and find a heartburn tablet in the next couple of minutes, I honestly think my oesophagus is going to rot away!!
